mission

S.O.A.R. provides outdoor recreation and fitness that improves independent life skills for people with special needs.

S.O.A.R. participants develop life skills: self-concepts, critical thinking, independence, trust, communication, respect,

empowerment, and social integration.

By adventuring your way to independence, you will improve your health, life skills, discover your abilities, overcome fear, gain respect for yourself, others, the environment; and develop positive relationships with peers

and many different communities.

Our adventure activities, road trips and retreats build Independent Living Skills (that are required by law) such as, Housekeeping Management, Safety Skills, Food Management, Hygiene, Inter/Intra-personal Skills, Health, Community Resources, and (of course) Recreation.
